Le Pianelle Bramaterra, Piedmont, Italy 2015 Case (6x750ml) Santa Ynez Valley cooked apple and tarte tatinThe 2015 Bramaterra is dark, rich and enveloping, with more body than these wines tend to show, a result of a warm growing season. Today, the aromatics are a bit muted, but that should not be a huge issue in a few years' time. The 2015 is not quite as alluring it was from barrel last year, but I expect it will show that quality once again with a bit more time in bottle. It's a gorgeous wine in the making. 95 Pts Vinous
