Frog's Leap Merlot 2016 Bottle:12 Fruit of a meticulous selectionThe 2016 Frog's Leap Merlot has 9% Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend. At 13. 4% alcohol, it's ripe but not overly so. Biodynamic and dry farmed vines, mostly from around the Frog's Leap Winery in the heart of Rutherford. Low on the new oak scale Ripened red berries and cherry flavors are accentuated by delicate notes of mocha, herbs, and spice. This wine has a plush mouth feel and a lovely finish.
