Cambus initially distilled malt whisky but was re equipped to produce grain whisky for blends in 1837. A fire destroyed most of the distillery in 1913 and remained closed for 24 years, reopening in 1938. Cambus closed its doors for the last time in 1993. Stocks of single grain Cambus are increasingly scarce
