Antique HC Black Forest Bull Bear, 8+" on 12" Wood Plinth, 19th c. Animalier Giraud and all are 1830-40sHe's a big and glorious anatomical study, entirely hand carved by some Master carver of the region referred to as "Black Forest", Swiss, mostly. The bear is over 8" long and big in form, a bull in all his glory, one of the finest carvings ever. Someone has, over time, mounted him to a thick beveled solid oak panel that just begs to be posted with a lamp mechanism and shade, do you agree? Or just displayed as he is.
