Antique Victorian Era Brooch in Mother of Pearl, Carved Scene, French Romantic napkin ring Starburst baseWe're pleased to offer this superb hand carved mother of pearl plaque showing a Romantic country scene reminiscent of the French Romantic era, genre. The brooch is mooted in rolled gold with cut steel framework, and we think it is British in origin. A typical Victorian hinged pin and c clamp closure remains intact thought it would appear there is an old re solder to the c clamp (see images). Lovely in the hand or worn, it's a charming carving.
